This week I thought I would participate in Tackle it Tuesday. Our local grocery stores are having case lots sales. They have them here in Utah at least every six months or so. Last year we stocked up pretty well but we actually ran out before the year was up. So this time around we are trying just for six months worth of food. Here is a picture of what we purchased! This is actually not all of it we have to purchase more today! As you can see I need to organize our shelves!

Happy Tuesday,
P.S. Mom’s Talk ebooks has a special guide on Freezer Cooking. This fits right into being prepared for your family!

What a great idea.
My husband wants to buy in case lots for our family of six but I keep resisting..I guess I need to see the savings in the end.

The key is you only buy the cases when they are at rock bottom prices. Then you save tons. Our family of six we have a budget of about $400 a month for groceries! It works!!
Wow!! That’s a HUGE stockpile!! Awesome tackle:-)

Wow,great tackle!!! I’d love to do that, but I don’t have the storage space!
Oh you can find the storage. All of this is in our garage. But we have kept things in many different places!
I can’t even tell you how jealous I am looking at that stockpile. Great tackle.

Wow…that is great. I have a decent sized pantry, but I have a tiny kitchen so I have cookbooks and such stored in there, too. I don’t think I could store 6 months worth of food in there! When my husband was in the Army, they often had case lot sales, but I’ve not seen one since.
