Tell Me Thursday: Stockpile

Yesterday I posted my Wordless Wednesday post full of pictures that showed my stockpile. Today it is time for Tell Me Thursday! I suppose I should tell you about this stockpile. First off this is not my current stockpile! I wish it were. This is from back in spring of 2007. I wish we still had this but our stockpile is a little bit different!
Here is the story! In January of 2007 I found the Grocery Game. The Grocery Game is a site that offers a list of the great deals you can get from stores in your area! The list combines sales and coupons to get things really cheap and even free!

This pictures shows all my breast milk that was frozen for my baby (my now 2 year old). Lots of ice cream and those Ore-Ida potatoes I got all for free! I think I got about 14 and all of them free. In Ohio where we use to live we had a grocery store that doubled coupons up to $.99. So we got all those free and a bunch of Toaster strudels free too.
This will be my last photo I will go through. These Swiss Miss hot chocolate I bought for $.45! It took a long time to get through them. Actually we are drinking the very last packets right now! Now, all that cereal. We were eating that for a long time. Now, my kids could finish that in about three weeks! We do not buy any cereal for more than $1.00.
Since these pictures we have moved across the country to Utah (no double coupons). We are building up a stockpile but it doesn’t come quite as easy. We don’t have Aldi (we love and miss Aldi) or Giant Eagle with their double coupons! I don’t subscribe to the Grocery Game anymore but a free service called Grocery Smarts. They have been very helpful covering the local grocery stores! My husband and I take a lot of pride in getting really good deals on our grocery items and we rarely buy things that are not on sale. And yes I like having a grocery store in my house!
Participate in Tell Me Thursday and keep Wordless Wednesday completely wordless!

That is so amazing! I’ve tried the Grocery Game, but I don’t have the patience or the room for it. I do use coupons though…love saving $!

Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog. Your stock pile is so impressive. I also started out with the Grocery Game, about the same time as you did. I also used to have a really huge stockpile, and like you we’ve moved (4 times in 2 years) so my stock pile is much smaller now. Thanks for posting your inspiring pictures

Thanks for visiting my blog! That’s quite the stock pile! I would love to try the Grocery Game but I don’t think I would have the patience. Saving money is pretty awesome though!

Holy cow, that’s a lot of food! I think I would be sick of all that swiss miss! My dad left 2 boxes here 2 years ago and I still have it!
Great deals though! I have an Aldi just down the road from me and have never ventured there. One friend swears by it. I may have to give it a go…
