Tackle It Tuesday!

Tackle It Tuesday Meme
This Tackle It Tuesday is making bread! I am due to make some loaves of bread. This picture is from my last attempt. My husband was in charge of the rising (I went and donated plasma) and he forgot to let them rise a second time. So they look a little funny and they are not great for making sandwiches! So I will be the one to let them rise and finish the work all the way through. I am lucky enough to have a kitchenaid to help me do the work. The recipe isn’t to extremely hard but this is a whole lot cheaper than buying bread at $1.69 a pop! Store bought bread the kids go through one loaf within a day! So I make bread!bread

  • I’ve just ordered a book from Amazon on making bread in 5 minutes a day. Basically you make a big batch of dough up once a week, and then just pull a bit off, shape it and rise it and bake it each day. Looking forward to reading it.

  • Your bread looks delicious! Homemade bread is the best!

  • Wow. Well done you. I make mine in the breadmaker and then let it rise again in a french bread form. However,I have a huge oven so I’d much prefer to do a batch like you’ve done. The bread Leo likes to eat from the store is $3.89 a loaf which prompted me to start making my own.
    Cheers

  • Any chance you would share your recipe with me? All the bread recipes I have end up being more expensive than our grocery store bread (although it is only $.99 by us). They look awesome!!

  • I love this tackle it Tuesday ,I have lots of things I want to tackle, maybe it will help to assign a day. I am still working on learning how to cook,I will have to give myself some time before I move onto making my own bread.
