My Tackle it Tuesday this week is going to be a little bit different. We will be traveling to California in about two weeks for our family reunion and right before this I will be done with my internship with Mom’s Talk Network on Mom Giveaways. So the next two weeks I will be so busy and then I will be away for a week and a half.
The other day I was noticing how neglected my house has become. So what my tackle for this Tuesday is: I am beginning a list of summer cleaning that we will be doing when we come back. I have informed the whole family that we will be cleaning for a few days straight to get everything done! The children know that on those days they will not be playing with there friends all day long.
So here is the beginning of my list:
- Rent a carpet cleaner and clean all our carpet.
- Clean the baseboards.
- Dust the top of the kitchen cabinets and the doors.
- Wipe down all cabinets and doors in the house.
- Wash inside of all windows.
- Scrub the bathroom floors and the tile.
- Dust all surfaces!!
- Put aways clothes that are to small for kids.
- Clean out the walk in closet.
- Vacuum and clean stairs.
- Clean inside of Refrigerator.
Okay I think that is a very very good start to my list! I know it will be a long one. I haven’t even really talked about all the rooms upstairs. We have lived in our current house for almost a year and we still have not hung any pictures in our upstairs loft. This is another thing that needs to be done. This summer cleaning session may just be turning into a week. I am not sure how my family with like it!

Wow – what a great list. I have yet to sit down and make mine… I have 1 of 2 college classes ending Friday, and then the internship – and after that I’ve got birthday parties to prepare for so I have no excuses!
