I thought of several things that I could blog about today but nothing seemed to feel right. So I thought I would share with you how my business is going and some things that have helped this week!
First of all I have to tell you,Totally Free Tuesday has helped me focus on my home based business! I was not able to listen to many of the sessions because my sister was visiting on Tuesday, but I listened to the last two. The very last two of the day were Lynn Terry and Nicole Dean. Of course, you know how much I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE,Lynn Terry. If you haven’t heard about Lynn Terry, check out my post on the SSWT Elite group! She was great but what changed my business this week is Nicole Dean! She is the best! Her enthusiasm is very contagious and she is quite motivating. Nicole spoke about the lessons she has learned as a work at home mom.
So What Did Nicole Say?
She said so many fabulous things. The one thing that really stuck with me is that you need to be doing something to make money every day. Do something that will be profitable. This means if you have an auto responder, then add more messages to it. If you are writing a report or an ebook, work on it each day until it is done. The key is,work on it before you do anything else!! Do not go on Twitter or check your email or play around on facebook. Create a small to-do list (the night before) of things you MUST do to be profitable. Then do them, before you can check twitter or the others!
So what have I done?
I have been engaged in a lot of projects lately. Here they are:
- Populating my affiliate site with content.
- Writing articles for 100 articles 100 days.
- Setting up my hand printing business blog on Word Press.
- Setting up an e-course on this site.
- Setting up an e-course on my hand printing site.
I have not been doing great getting everything done. I do some during the week, but I haven’t been working on everything consistently! After Wednesday I have really been on a roll! I have put together the very beginnings of my two e-courses in my auto responder,I have almost caught up to where I should be in the Jeff Herring 100 articles,100 day challenge. I am not working on all my projects yet but I have made great progress!
It has felt great!
Not only that,I don’t feel like I am tied to the computer all day! I get a little done and I move onto other things, like cleaning my house and taking care of my kids. I have even been able to finish a book I have been reading and started reading to my kids again. I have felt more relaxed because I am making progress EVERYDAY!
So if you are having a hard time with focusing on your home based business, like I was, listen to Nicole Dean’s session at Totally Free Tuesday. It may inspire you too!
