On the Profitable Mommy Blogging podcast last week Carrie interviewed a mom that has a great website her name is name is Jo-Lynne Shane.  She is an avid blogger.  Her blog is called Musings of a Housewife.  I have her on my Google Reader.  She has so much to say and posts very often.  Don’t feel pressure to keep up is what she says!  Read what you want.  She has great tips and sometimes rambles but lots of people love it!  She is definitely real and not trying to be what she isn’t.  I think that is quite refreshing!  She has great content.  Her posts are sometimes long and sometimes short.  Check her out!

My oldest son had a birthday last week.  In one of the sweepstakes I entered I won a Sponge Bob Squarepants digital camera.  It is a very beginner digital camera.  You know the ones that plug directly into the computer.  We celebrated his birthday this weekend at his aunt and unlce’s house.  After he opened the camera he was talking with my brother-in-law who asked “What are you going to do with that camera?”.  My son replies ” I am going to take some pictures, start a blog and put the pictures on the blog for everyone to see it!”  I laughed and thought he is hearing too much about blogs lately!  It is funny to hear his concept of a blog and what it can do.  He thinks just anyone is going to come and look at his blog to see his pictures.

What is your blog about?

This got me thinking about why people come and look at blogs.  Some blogs are just entertaining, some teach you something and others are about life.  There are of course many blogs that don’t necessarily fit in those categories but you get the idea.  Blogs need to have some kind of substance in order for people to come and read them day after day.  So that is going to be my goal with this blog to give you some substance.  Sometimes I will just have to ramble about something and maybe just show you a picture but here is something you need to jump on: a sale with lots of good stuff from the ladies at Mom Masterminds, it is the 10 day May Madness Sale!  This ends tomorrow May 19th so act quick.  I am picking out the stuff I want after I post this!

I am a very impatient person!

I don’t like the learning process to much. If I could start and then be at then end knowing it all I would do it in a heart beat. If I could I would even pay someone to get me there. But as you and I both know that is not possible! Part of my problem is I am a perfectionist. I try to be thorough and do the right thing the first time and because of this I sometimes procrastinate! This is one of the reasons I decided to start this blog. I need to stay on track. Posting daily keeps me on track!

I am not a big fan of the learning curve!

Don’t want to have anything to with it. I am so thankful for my blogging internship because it is forcing me to slow down and take things one step at a time. I tend to over think things and I am having to just let go and write! I am having to write so many blog posts I am actually learning to love, I mean really love to write.
