I started this blog last week. I also have our family blog that I write in. Can I just tell you I love to write on my blogs. I don’t think I am the best writer in the world. I will give Charles (my husband) that credit! He can make words on a page come alive. I envy him and am disgusted by him at the same time because he hates to write. I wish I had that kind of talent. My point is that I love putting my words down and sharing them.
2004 Blogging
I remember in 2004 learning about blogs. I was on a few forums and I posed the question “What is the big deal about blogs?”. I got many answers but I still didn’t understand why I would want people to read about my personal feelings or what I did for the day. Don’t get me wrong I understand the importance of journals. In fact I started my first journal when I was 8 years old and I have filled at least 10 journals since then. I have always enjoyed writing my feelings and experiences. My big hang up was letting others read my entries. What I can tell you after having a few blogs now and working to write in them often is that I feel the creative juices flowing! I feel like it is a place I can share my experiences good or bad and learn from them. Regardless of what others think of me! I wake up and think,“What can I share on my blog today?”and I have a hard time coming up with something. Then I think of a subject. Whether it is a big experience or just a small discovery,I can share it and get excited doing so. If you haven’t started a blog I challenge you to do so! If you are blogging then blog every day for a week! Come back here and share your thoughts and feelings with me. I would love to know how things are going and to check out your blog!
