Blog Internship Is Over
I can’t believe I am actually saying it but I have finished my blog internship with Mom’s Talk Network! It has been a busy ten weeks. I have learned so much from Kelly and the other interns. I have seen a huge change in what I am able to accomplish! The internship has not only helped me form habits and skills that will benefit my blogging. It has helped me build confidence in myself, my writing and what I can do!
Application
When I filled out the application at the beginning of April I thought, “I am going to fill this out and see if I get in”. You see I almost didn’t do it because I had to provide a writing sample, rightfully so! I just didn’t have confidence at all in my writing. I was not bless with a way with words. But I have learned that with practice you get better! I am still not the best at grammar. So if you notice a comma missing that is because my husband hasn’t edited my work yet! So I went ahead and filled out the application and I listed all my hobbies and what I enjoy doing online.
Interview with Kelly
When I interviewed with Kelly she almost immediately mentioned my sweepstakes hobby. I told her of my interest and I actually was a little vague because of the attitude I get sometimes when I mention I enter sweepstakes! She mentioned that she just purchased Mom Giveaways and she would love it if I would be the intern for that blog. I was so excited. I just couldn’t believe it!
A week and a half later I started. Kelly helped each of us develop habits so that we can be successful in our blogs. She also taught how to monetize our blogs. Isn’t that really what most of us want?
Blog Internship
Over the fourth of July weekend Kelly launched a new membership site called Blog Internship! Now one of the perks of being an intern is I got a bunch of products free. Blog Internship is something Kelly gave us. Now in reviewing the lessons and listening to the audio, I have discovered that the content is so very similar to the intership I finished! I can’t tell you what a deal this is. I worked my tail off on Kelly’s blog for 10 weeks. This membership site give you what I got but instead of working on her blog you get to work on your own blog!! Not only that but you have the option of having Kelly critique your site and/or have coaching with Kelly one-on-one! The best part is it is as little as $10 per week!! That is only $100 total. If you want to pay upfront it is only $89.
Okay this is from someone who knows!
I have been spending time learning and doing what Kelly has given me for 10 weeks. Now that I am finished I feel as though I am light years ahead of where I began. I think Kelly is not charging enough! This internship is worth so much more!
Here are some of the things I learned:
- How to make my blog post visually appealing.
- How to use twitter and gain new followers (I just reached 2000 followers the other day).
- How to use guest blogging to my advantage.
- The best way to socialize to gain traffic to my site!
- The best way to use affiliate marketing naturally.
- The list goes on and on!
If you are brand new or wanting to take your blog to the next level and start making some money, start Blog Internship! You will not believe what you were missing by doing everything on your own! Kelly have been blogging for at least five years. She has also been home working full-time for three years. Who better to teach you to be successful as a blogger!
