Deb photo 004Today is going to be the start of some very fun posts.  I am beginning a Cross-Blog Conversation with Debbie Taylor who is The Queen Mommy’s Cafe. Debbie and I met during our internships at Mom’s Talk Network.  While I was writing posts about sweepstakes and giveaways on Mom Giveaways, she was sharing the latest and greatest things coming from the kitchen at Family Foodies. Let me tell you Debbie knows her stuff!  I tried, have used and passed on some of her recipes!

Here is how it works!

What Debbie and I will be doing is I will ask a question here at Danielle’s Journey.  She will respond the next day or two on her blog at The Queen Mommy’s Cafe, in the same post she answers my question, she will also ask me a question. In turn I will answer her question her and ask another question! This will be very fun and you will get to know her and I better!

So here goes…Debbie,  we spent ten weeks working with Kelly McCausey on her Mom’s Talk Network blogs.  What three things did you take away from that experience and what have you implemented and are using currently?

Keep an eye out on The Queen Mommy’s Cafe to see how Debbie answers my question!

If I could hold a star for every time you’ve made me smile, the entire sky would be in the palm of my hand.

I found this Saturday on Twitter.  David Perdew posted it and I loved it.  I immediately thought of the picture above.  I took this of my youngest daughter a few months ago.  I used it in a Wordless Wednesday post as well.  I told my daughter to smile and this what I got.  It not a normal smile for her but I think it is adorable!

After fighting with my internet all morning to find grocery and coupon deals for this weekend I have given up!  But not to worry…I have some great deals I found earlier in the week!!

First, McDonald’s has an after school coupon booklet! You can purchase it for $1 and get $12 worth of free items.  Best of all they don’t expire until the end of 2011!!  These are great rewards for kids!!

Another restaurant deal is from IHOP! If you go to IHOP, kids eat FREE  from 4:00 pm-10:00 pm, everyday.  We have already taken advantage of this deal!

Okay one more restaurant deal.  When you go to dinner at T.G.I. Friday’s and pay with a visa you will receive a coupon for $5 off your next purchase of $15.

The last thing, (I know not many links today) is an opportunity to get paid for surveys with Pinecone Research. Now I know there are a lot of surveys that don’t pay anything.  I have been doing surveys for Pinecone for a few years and I get paid everytime!!  They have never opened up applications like this so I would act fast, you won’t be disappointed!!

By next week I should be able to figure out what is going on with my internet!  Until then go out to eat and do some surveys! ;)

Until next time!

Danielle

PS. Have you checked out The Coupon Clipper’s before?  I have used this service very often with a lot of success!

Here is this weeks story behind the pictures.  If you follow my blog you know that we went to a family reunion in the San Bernardino mountain in California.  This took place a month ago (boy time flies).  While we were there we went to Lake Gregory which is near Lake Arrowhead and not too far from Big Bear.  Lake Gregory is a fresh water lake.  They had great water activities including two water slides, boats to rent and this big bike you can ride on the water.  My oldest son who is eight and has never been on a water slide before decided to take the plunge along with several of his cousins. My six year old daughter, even though she was big enough decided adamantly against going!  These are pictures that we captured.  The water does not look very clean I agree!  In this lake there were also little fish and crawdads.  We had a good time and we ALL got sunburned!!

If you have a Wordless Wednesday post that has a story behind it participate in Tell Me Thursday and Thousand Words Thursday!
